Mercedes Benz GLB 2022

Following a combination of businesses established by engineers Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler that eventually created the Daimler-Benz firm, the first Mercedes-Benz automobiles were produced in 1926. Mercedes-Benz recognized for its extensive racing history, luxurious status, and industrial engineering culture, is currently the second-largest automaker in Europe.

In 1952, Mercedes-Benz started exporting automobiles to the United States, with the renowned 300SL Gullwing as the first model. The firm began offering more automobiles to American customers as its reputation for excellent “German Engineering” developed. To manage the distribution, marketing, and customer support of its European-imported automobiles, the corporation established the Mercedes-Benz USA business in 1965.

The German carmaker began producing the ML320 SUV in Alabama in 1996 to exploit the North American Free Trade Agreement and meet the expanding domestic demand.

American consumers started to choose bigger cars with higher sitting positions and more excellent luggage space over fuel-efficient sedans in the late 2010s. Mercedes-Benz expanded its lineup of locally produced SUVs to adapt, including the GLE and GLS SUVs. The line between German and American manufacturers is blurred since it is one of several foreign automakers with U.S. production plants.

With the inclusion of electric cars under the E.Q. brand, including the impending EQC, Mercedes-Benz has continued diversifying its product range. The EQC will be constructed in Germany, while the battery will be made in Alabama. Its parent company, Daimler (formerly Daimler-Benz), collaborates with several other automakers, including competitor BMW, to develop self-driving car technology and Geely to build Smart electric cars in China.
