About Ford

Ford, one of the “Big Three” American automakers, produces a variety of automobiles for the global market under the Lincoln and Ford brands.
The company, formally established in 1903, is famed for introducing the moving assembly line, drastically reducing the cost of producing the Model T and increasing the car’s accessibility to the general public.
Since then, the American manufacturer has created several classic automobiles, such as the Ford F-150 full-size truck, the best-selling car in the world, the Bronco SUV, and the Mustang, the original pony car that launched the American “muscle car” sector.
Formerly, Ford Motor Company was the parent company for several luxury automakers, including Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover, and Volvo. However, amid the 2008-2009 financial crisis, it sold these less lucrative product lines to Tata Motors and Geely. 2011, it dropped the Mercury nameplate for a more efficient manufacturing line.
is looking at new modes of transportation to address the evolving mobility demands of the twenty-first century, even though the firm is virtually exclusively associated with passenger automobiles. To stay up with other multi-modal and car-sharing firms, the corporation established the Ford Smart Mobility division in 2016 as start-ups explored self-driving technology and developed on-demand ride-hailing.
In addition, the firm is responding to shifting customer tastes away from sedans and toward bigger cars. To focus on trucks and SUVs in the North American market, Ford strategically decided to phase out its trim car options in 2018. It will only produce the midsize Fusion sedan and the Mustang two-seater for the passenger market. The Mustang Mach-E, an electric version of the Mustang with an SUV-like design, was also unveiled by Ford at the 2019 L.A. Auto Show.
