About Nissan

Nissan:The Tokyo-based carmaker Jidosha-Seizo Kabushiki-Kaisha, which produced automobiles under the storied Datsun brand, changed its name to Nissan Motor Company in 1934.
Nissan started manufacturing trucks and other vehicles for the war effort in 1938 instead of tiny passenger cars. After hostilities ended in 1945, the Allies seized the bulk of Nissan’s assets; this scenario persisted for ten years until Nissan reclaimed complete control. 1958 saw the release of the first Datsun in the United States, and the years followed saw the manufacturer continue to grow its footprint abroad.
Nissan stopped using the Datsun moniker in 1981 and began internationally marketing automobiles under the Nissan nameplate. It helped Infiniti become known as a high-end luxury brand in 1989.
For Nissan, the 1990s were a mixed bag. The 300ZX and Maxima gave the company a good start, but later, when sales slowed, Nissan’s fortunes began to wane. The brand was revived in 1999 through a partnership with Renault, which introduced a variety of cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, and EVs.
Nissan is now one of Japan’s major automakers. The family-friendly Nissan Maxima sedan, the sporty Nissan 370Z, and the supercar Nissan GT-R are among the available automobile models. Nissan provides a variety of vehicles to compete in the West, from the cost-effective Nissan Murano SUV to the enormous Nissan Titan XD.
